Oral History

Oral history offers the opportunity of documenting a history, or herstory of Clayoquot, of bringing into being the stories of women, and of ecofeminism, that might not otherwise be told.

As a method, oral history enables the documentation of stories of women making history through their lives and activism. The process of carrying our oral history interviews and creating an archive makes clear that history is not just found in archives, but that history is made, and can be made differently, that what stories we choose to tell and how, are profoundly important matters, which change the world we and others inhabit and how we see ourselves in that world.
