The Clayoquot Lives archive includes 30 oral history interviews (audio recordings and transcripts), as well as photographs and historical documents related to Clayoquot Sound and the 1993 Clayoquot peace camp.

The Clayoquot Sound peace camp received international attention, with many activists featured in media accounts. For example, here is a section from the magazine 'Focus on Women' entitled 'The Women of Clayoquot', introducing readers to some of these activists.

The Clayoquot Lives archive contains oral history interviews from prominent activists, including Valerie Langer, Betty Krawczyk and Jean McLaren. It also holds stories and accounts from interviews with lesser known activists. For example, an oral history interview with Sergio Paone, a male activist that came to Clayoquot after the peace camp had already closed.

Browse the Clayoquot Lives archive and hear from a range of activists engaged with the peace camp in different ways, each with their own unique story to tell.
